Building Information

Phase 1

Student Accommodation

We have made the ‘Canal House’ into accommodation which will house up to 30 students as there are four universities within a 15 minute walk of the site. The students will have full access to all restaurants and amenities within the site creating a social and inclusive area for all.

Phase 2

Restaurants

Our two restaurants are converted warehouse buildings. They are both listed and therefore haven’t been externally altered, retaining their historic facades. This allows the industrial past of the area to be remembered within this development.

Creative Space / Gallery

Our ‘creative space’ is an integral part to Digbeth Waterside as it is the perfect space for people to enjoy the sites amenities. We intend this building to be used for conferences, community classes, and local artists to exhibit their work.

Phase 3

Residential Buildings

We have taken inspiration from the Berkeley home urban scheme and have created 40 modern homes with on street parking at the South East end of the site. Each house will have an allotment on the roof of the houses in which they can create and design their own private garden. There will also be an independent convenience store located nearby.

Office & Retail Space

We have created a 4-storey building with the bottom two floors dedicated to restaurants and retail to compliment the commercial quarter. The two stories above contain a cutting edge design of glass and electronic shutter shades to promote natural light productivity to whoever moves into the floors. There is a BMS system inside to keep the building regulated. The office space will be empty to allow the client to furbish it however they please.
